Costume
Particular attention is given to the design and quality of our costumes which are as authentic as possible.
Whether it is a period evening dress, such as Regency, Victorian or Edwardian to enhance a gala performance or a full
production, the costumes will be of the highest quality and style. The company also has a collection of costumes
from the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
Accompaniment
This can range from piano or harp, small instrumental ensemble and up to a full orchestra, or backing
tracks where appropriate.
Bespoke performances
The company has undertaken specific commissions on many occasions, which included the first performance in
costume of Elgar's only opera 'The Spanish Lady' at Madresfield Court
'A Night at the Opera'
Offering a series of stylish and entertaining programmes created for theatres and festival
performances, and also ideal for corporate, charity and private events and for linking with a
dinner or reception. The artists appear in sumptuous costumes with attractive sets and stage
dressing.
The performances of the highest artistic standards are introduced with a 'light touch', presenting opera as an entertainment for opera lovers and newcomers alike.
'A Night at the Opera' - Programme 1
Featuring the works of Mozart, Verdi, Rossini, Bizet, Puccini, Offenbach and Gilbert & Sullivan -
plus pieces from musicals if appropriate. The artists appear in Regency, Victorian or Edwardian
evening dress.
'A Night at the Opera' - Programme 2
Highlights from Verdi's 'La Traviata' in costume, followed by a programme of 'Popular Encores'
from well known opera and operetta after an interval.
'A Night at the Opera' - Programme 3
Highlights from Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' in costume, followed by a programme of 'Popular Encores'
from well known opera and operetta after an interval.
'A Passion for Puccini'
A programme exclusively of Puccini with highlights in costume from some of the most popular
operas in the repertoire. Including 'La Bohème', 'Madame Butterfly', 'Tosca', 'Gianni Schicchi'
and 'Turandot', as well as from the lesser known works including 'Edgar', 'La Rondine'.
'A Christmas Night at the Opera'
Featuring the works of the great opera and operetta composers, plus repertoire associated with
the Christmas Season including Puccini's 'La Bohème'. The audience will be invited to
join the soloists in popular carols at the end of the programme.
